First blog task


1) Why did you choose AS Media Studies? 
i choose AS media because i really enjoyed doing it at GCSE and wanted to further my knowledge of the subject

2) Did you take GCSE Media Studies (either here at Greenford or a different school)?
yes

3) If you answered yes to Q2, what grade did you achieve in GCSE Media? What coursework tasks did you complete? What would you say your strengths and weaknesses were in GCSE Media?
i got a B in GCSEs media which surprised me as i had struggled with deadlines and attendance but I was extremely motivated to achieve high as I really enjoyed the course and see it as a possible future career path. I think my strengths were the creative aspects involved with the music video making and film poster making in the coursework. 

4) What grade do you hope to achieve in A Level Media?

5) What are your current thoughts about your next steps after A Levels - university, apprenticeship, work?
I don't think university is for me so hopefully i can go on to apprenticeship or full time work

6) What do you think the biggest media story of 2016 has been and why?
definitely brexit and the US elections simply because they had such worldwide courage and effected a lot of people. they also got a lot of buzz on the internet and through social media.

7) What media sources do you use to find out about news and current affairs?
usually social media and occasionally the news.

8) What was the last film you watched?
gone girl

9) What is your favourite ever TV series?
supernatural

10) How many hours do you spend online in an average day? Is this too little, too much or about right? Why?
too much, I'm constantly using my phone and using social media mainly because its my main source of the world apart from family and school.
